All of our rat and rodent exclusion plans come with a 2-year guarantee, but we also offer longer term monitoring plans...

  • Exterior & Interior Assessment -Yard, garage, attic, crawlspace—no area is off limits.

  • Reinforcement of Exclusion Barriers - We reseal, repair, or upgrade any areas showing signs of wear or tampering.

  • Activity Logs & Reports - You get a simple record of each visit and any recommendations.

  • Fast Response Guarantee - If activity is detected between scheduled visits, we come back—no extra charge.

Who Should Get Rodent Monitoring?

  • Older homes with crawlspaces or aging foundations

  • Clients with a history of infestation

  • Anyone who wants long-term peace of mind

Why It Works

Rodents are opportunists. If they find a new path in, they’ll take it. With ongoing monitoring, you can stop problems before they escalate. It’s less expensive than emergency extermination and far less damaging than ignoring the signs.

FAQS

How does your service work?

We offer a free estimate and service in Sonoma, Napa, North and West Marin Counties. Our expert Rat Detective will find the entry points of rats and mice into your home or structure. We'll catch what’s there and then seal them out. We guarantee our work for 2 years. RES is 100% poison-free and does not use any rodenticides or pesticides.

What do you do if a rat is in between the walls or ceiling soffits?

We use an attractant to lure rats into our traps which are placed in the active primary traffic areas such as the crawl space and attic. Rats look for a food source and don’t stay in one localized place for long periods.

What happens when there is activity after the 4 weeks?

RES service will be extended until there is no more activity. Our rat detectives will be executing perimeter checks during each service check. If there is any breach in RES work, or a new entry point is found, it can be addressed.

How can we prevent rats from getting on the roof?

Rats can jump up to 3 feet. RES recommends having any foliage or branches cut back 4-5 feet to prevent roof access. The use of gutter guards can be helpful too.

Do you offer a clean up service?

RES focuses mainly on exclusion work and can clean droppings on hard surfaces. We use a shop vac with a HEPA filter. RES can recommend a company that offers a more extensive crawlspace or attic cleanup.

Do you provide exclusion service for animals other than rats or mice?

No. RES service for rats and mice only. For any other animals we recommend contacting Sonoma Wildlife Rescue, Wildcare or a local wild animal service provider in your area.

Do you remove dead rodents from HVAC ducts?

No. We recommend a local HVAC company

How does payment work?

The initial estimate is provided at no charge. After the estimate and invoice approval, you can pay using cash, check, or credit card payments. We can split the payments in 2. We ask for a minimum of half up front when we begin service and the remainder balance due by the 3rd week of service.
